Goals

Throughout life you should have goals. Having goals gives you a target to shoot at. Zig Ziggler says if you aim at nothing you might hit it. Going through day by day with no targets is a waste of time. I am not suggesting that you pack your days full of targets, but you should have items on the list that helps you on your way. Imagine you are a runner. You practice by running long distances, short sprints, intermediate lengths and circuit training. All the practice gives you a well rounded style of running. However, if your goal is only the 100 yard dash, long distances might not be the best practice for your goal. Short sprints are significantly different than running marathons. If your goal is to finish a marathon in a certain time then you will gradually increase your distances, practice your timing, change your diet and many other routines in your daily activities. All of these things will not happen over night. You should look at you life and dream. DREAM BIG. Take these dreams and write them down. Then draw a road map of how you plan on achieving your goals. The road map will demonstrate where you need to be by a certain time. You will notice that these place are little goals leading you to your end result. Don't get anxious about you goals or upset if you miss them. Did you know that if you never swing a baseball bat then you will never hit the ball. If you never hit the ball, how would you know if you can hit home runs? If you want to be the best home run hitter, then you must swing your bat and practice. You will play how you practice, or you will run how you practice. I have heard that goals not written down is just a wish. Turn your dreams into reality, now go do it.
